Curved dagger boards have quickly gained acceptance in catamarans. They have been used mostly on offshore trimarans in the past, and used primarily as a way to increase longitudinal stability and shift underwater center of effort forward to prevent lee-helm downwind.

The Nacra 17, now fully foiling utilising four-point Z foils. They provide extra lift and stability giving maximum speeds and performance and the most exciting fleet racing.
The NACRA 17’s new-generation hulls have about 40% greater longitudinal stability than recent conventional shaped catamarans now further enhanced using a carbon internal wrap and extra re-inforcement to deall with loads of the new Z foils and sailing style.
